Tinnitus can be complex; the good news is that it can be effectively treated by a specialist audiologist. Hearing and Audiology’s tinnitus specialist, Zoe, has years of experience in assessing and treating West Australians with tinnitus.
Due to its complexity, a tinnitus assessment at Hearing and Audiology takes 90 minutes. We ask clients to complete and return two questionnaires before the assessment, so the audiologist has time to carefully review your answers. At the appointment, Zoe will go over your answers from the questionnaires, then complete a comprehensive hearing and tinnitus assessment. Using this information, the audiologist will diagnose the likely cause of your tinnitus or recommend further investigation by an appropriate medical professional.
After identifying the cause of your tinnitus, Zoe will provide a personalised treatment and management plan with you. We offer a range of different tinnitus treatments and will take the time to find the right one for you, while providing strategies to better deal with your tinnitus symptoms.
At the conclusion of a tinnitus assessment, we send a written report to your doctor, unless otherwise requested.
