Medicare Rebates for Hearing Tests
You do not need a referral to see us. However, if you have a referral from a Medical Practitioner (e.g. your GP or ENT), you will be able to claim a Medicare Rebate for the assessment. This applies to hearing tests only.
Private Health Insurance Rebates for Hearing Tests
If you have Private Health Insurance, you may be able to claim a rebate for your hearing test. Generally, private health insurers pay out on hearing aids, rather than hearing tests. Please contact your health fund directly to see if you qualify for any rebates. No matter what health fund you are with, you can still see Hearing and Audiology.
Australian Pensioners and Veterans
If you are an Australian Pensioner or Veteran, you may be eligible for free hearing services, including hearing tests and hearing aids, through the Hearing Services Program. These free services can be accessed through Hearing & Audiology. For more information about the Hearing Services Program, click here. To find out if you are eligible for free services, call us on 9388 8003 with your pension card details, and we can find out for you.
WorkCover WA & Worker’s Compensation Claims
We are authorised to complete Noise Induced Hearing Loss (NIHL) assessments under WorkCover WA. If you work in a noisy workplace, you should speak to your employer about organising a NIHL assessment. These assessments are paid for by the employer.
Concession Card Holders
If you hold a concession card, such as a Senior’s Card or a Health Care Card, we offer a discount on our hearing tests. Please let us know when you book your appointment if this applies to you.
